"Bringing the law back down to earth"
Law Workshops:
Delivering workshops and mock trials / mock courts to care-experienced young people to help them engage with the law in an accessible (and fun) way.
Includes presentations on legal rights and human rights, with fun quizzes, to make the law more interactive.
Speaking:
Bespoke speaking from care-experienced lawyers/aspiring lawyers to discuss our journeys and legal pathways to engage and inspire young people to aspire for legal careers.
USP Workshops:
'Finding your USP' workshop, helping young people to see their strengths. Our Co-Founder Lucy Barnes often speaks about how she sees strengths in every care-experienced person waiting to be found. Let us help your students find theirs.
Testimonials:
Antonia Jackson, Headteacher at Quorn Hall School
Lucy visited our setting in October 2023 for the purpose of providing aspiration for children and young people who have experienced difficulties around trauma and attachment, are care experienced or struggle to engage with mainstream education due to poor mental health. Lucy spoke about her past experiences and her professional development. She also aimed to create an understanding for legal matters and the opportunities within the legal profession. It is the perfect workshop/educational strategy for engaging pupils for learning about British Values, in a tangible authentic way. The lived experience is inspirational and pupils will learn because of this.
